Traffic interruption between Helsinki and Turku 24 June–28 July
Due to track work, we will replace all trains between Helsinki and Turku with buses from 24 June to 28 July. Read more about the effects of the railway line interruption and the exceptional arrangements here.
Assistance service at the station
The assistance point is located in the middle of platform 4, next to the lift. The assistance point has a shelter. Drop-off traffic and taxis can easily get close to the assistance point.
To book assistance service, call VR customer service for accessible travel at 0800 188 822 (free of charge, service hours Mon–Fri 5am–10pm, Sat–Sun 7am–10pm) no later than 24 hours before your departure.

B1 Helsinki–Kupittaa–Turku hourly (direct)
B2 Helsinki–Leppävaara–Salo–Kupittaa–Turku (every two hours)
B3 Helsinki–Kirkkonummi–Karjaa–Salo–Kupittaa–Turku (every two hours)
B4 Helsinki–Karjaa (This connection allows you to transfer at Karjaa to the Hanko train route)

Frequently asked questions about the railway line interruption
If there is space in the luggage compartment of the bus, you can take your bike with you. Please note that it is not possible to book a place for a bike in advance.
If there is no room for your bike on the bus, you can travel on the next departure with your original ticket.

Tickets are not sold on the buses, but must be purchased in advance. You can buy tickets from e.g. vr.fi, the VR Matkalla app, R-kioski or ticket vending machines.
Unfortunately, replacement buses do not have accessible travel services. If all trains on your travel date have been replaced with a bus due to track work, we will arrange an accessible taxi for you. Contact our free accessible travel service by calling 0800 188 822, and we will help you!
Unfortunately, the replacement buses do not have child seats and the seat belts on the buses might not be suitable for securing child seats.
Replacement buses have limited space for baggage. Pets are allowed to travel with their owner on replacement buses for a pet charge. Guide, assistance and hearing dogs travel free of charge.

If there are a lot of advance bookings for a bus, we may have had to remove the departure from sales in order to ensure that the buses have sufficient capacity. The bus will run normally, but you will no longer be able to buy new tickets for the departure.
If you do not have a ticket yet, you can travel on another connection. Buy your ticket in advance since tickets are not sold aboard the buses.
The buses replacing long-distance trains will continue from Kupittaa to Turku Central Railway Station and, around the departure and arrival times of ships, also to the Port of Turku and vice versa.
